HOPEFULLY EVERYONE IS ENJOYING THE SPIRIT OF HALLOWEEN, TRICK OR TREATING AND HAVING A GREAT TIME, BUT DON'T LET THE HANGOVER LAST TOO LONG! THE DEAD SPACE BETWEEN THE START OF NOVEMBER AND CHRISTMAS CAN BE QUITE SCARY AND WILL HAVE A HUGE IMPACT ON YOUR MISSION TO GET FIT. HERE ARE FIVE TOP TIPS TO KEEP YOU OUT OF TROUBLE AND ON TRACK FOR THE LAST COUPLE OF MONTHS OF THE YEAR.

1. BUY SOME NEW TRAINING KIT

GO OUT AND TREAT YOURSELF TO SOME NEW WINTER GEAR. WHETHER IT'S A PAIR OF LEGGINGS,  A COOL NEW BASE LAYER OR SOME NEW TRAINERS. THE NEW PURCHASE WILL GET YOU FIRED UP TO GO OUT AND BEAST A SESSION IN NO TIME. YOU'LL ALSO HAVE INCENTIVE TO GET OUT AND USE THE KIT WHILST IT'S STILL FRESH.

2. SET A SHORT TERM GOAL

TRY TO WORK ON A NEW SHORT TERM GOAL(6-8 WEEKS). WHETHER IT'S TO TRAIN THREE TIMES PER WEEK, UP THE ENERGY IN YOUR CURRENT SESSIONS OR ADD A NEW DISCIPLINE IE ROWING, RUNNING, CYCLING ETC. EITHER WAY TWEAKING YOUR CURRENT PROGRAM WILL KEEP YOUR ENERGY UP THROUGH THESE DARK DAYS.

3. EAT WELL

IT'S THE OBVIOUS ONE BUT THE MOST EFFECTIVE. CONSISTENCY WITH HEALTHY EATING WILL TRANSFORM YOUR ENERGY AND GET YOU MOTIVATED TO SMASH OUT SESSIONS ON A DAILY BASIS

4. STOP THE BOOZE

REFRAIN FROM GOING ALL OUT IN DECEMBER. SET ONE OR TWO DATES BEFORE CHRISTMAS WHERE YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO AVOID DRINKING. GO OUT, ENJOY YOURSELF AND DON'T FEEL GUILTY. INCORPORATE THE NIGHTS OUT INTO YOUR PLAN! THEN COUNTER IT WITH A COUPLE OF EXTRA WORKOUTS THE FOLLOWING WEEK OR EVEN THE WEEK BEFORE.

5. TRAIN IN NUMBERS

GET TO AS MANY GROUP SESSIONS AS POSSIBLE. SURROUND YOURSELF WITH PEOPLE WHO SHARE THE SAME MENTALITY AS YOU. YOU'LL BECOME MORE MOTIVATED AND MOST LIKELY TRAIN EVEN HARDER THAN USUAL.
